The Proposal

The Cedar Rapids Community School District Comprehensive Facilities Master Plan continues the district’s initial work to right-size and align facilities with the changing community populations and locations. The facilities proposal calls for investment in all four quadrants of the city to provide benefits to all students.

2018 – CRCSD Elementary School Plan Approved

2021 – CRCSD Community Facilities Task Force Re-Convened

2012 – Debt from 2000 Bond Issuance Paid Off

2022 – 2023 – CRCSD Secondary Plan and Facilities Master Plan Developed

August 7, 2023 – CRCSD Board Approved Language for November 7, 2023, Bond Vote

September 22, 2023 – Deadline for Petitions to Place Request on November Ballot

November 7, 2023 – District Vote on Bond Issuance for Phase 1 of Master Facilities Improvements
